 LJ Hooker Niseko’s branch manager is experienced in real estate sales and banking and is a long-standing Hokkaido resident.
An Australian from Adelaide, Derek worked for Westpac in mortgage origination and sales before departing to live in Hokkaido. Derek has picked up a wealth of local Japanese knowledge and experience from extensive travel in Japan,  teaching business English and western commercial practices and his many Japanese friends and networks.
Before entering real estate banking, Derek graduated with a Bachelor of Management in international business and management from the University of South Australia. Derek was a Rotary scholar in Argentina and has also traveled extensively in Asia, gaining experience living and working through cross-cultural and language barriers.
Derek has now experienced two distinctly different sides to the Niseko Market, and he looks forward to putting what he has learned and his understanding of Japanese business to work for you.

Originally from England, LJHooker Niseko`s Head of Sales, Robert Holmes came to Hokkaido 17 years ago. Now, with his broad experience of the island and its people,  he considers himself as practically DOSANKO ( Japanese for a native of Hokkaido).
After working as an assistant professor at Sapporo Medical University for 12 years,  and starting a successful english school that his wife still operates, he decided to change his career completely by investing in the Niseko property market. He helped to establish a successful travel business  and building company in Niseko, underpinned by a well located property  portfolio -which taught him first hand the importance of providing  a reliable real estate service to property owners and investors alike to facilitate good yields from property. His in depth knowledge of the local property market, backed by multi lingual fluency, (Japanese & French) and his wealth of connections and networks here and in the Sapporo area allow LJHooker Niseko clients, to maximize the potential of their investments in the Niseko Resort areas & Hokkaido.
